The Girl Adoption Project (GAP)

The Girl Adoption Project is a carefully designed 4-year program of SAF curated to provide a holistic approach to tackle multiple issues girls face at intervals that may hinder their optimum development.

By taking part in these 3 compulsory programs:

  • The Senior School Certificate Exams
  • Mentorship and
  • Skills & Business training

Select teenage girls undergo a transformative process that would spur them into confident, skilled, and economically empowered women with proven leadership capacity.

The goal of the project is to raise female role models who will inspire other girls to develop an interest in education, become economically empowered, and shun teenage pregnancy.

Primary Beneficiary

Teenage girls (13-20 years old) from rural areas and low-income homes.

Sponsors can adopt girls by funding their participation in the project. Sponsorship may involve funding a girlīs education only or providing resources for her skills and business training only or may involve sponsoring the both.

By sponsoring a girl, you empower her to break the cycle of poverty in her family, live to her full potential, inspire other girls, and motivate her community to invest in the girl child.

So far, five girls have benefited from this project, and two are under full university scholarships through the support of our benevolent sponsors.

We look forward to receiving more sponsors and partners to reach other girls who are also in desperate need of this sponsorship.
